Our Executive Search Philosophy

We believe there is a need to be fully transparent and to work in close collaboration with clients throughout these key recruitment assignments. We offer a tangible fee structure based on project time, which offers clients a fixed cost, allowing them to budget from the start. And we add value with a thorough talent mapping phase, access to a suite of psychometric assessments, and support in the compilation of talent attraction documents.

What sort of roles are covered by executive search?

Executive search usually finds candidates for two different types of roles

  • Business critical – roles that are normally Director level or above, where it is critical that the right hire is made.
  • Hard to hire – roles that have proven difficult to recruit for previously, or where there are specific or niche requirements that make the potential talent pool very small.

It can also be used in situations where there are sensitivities and you don’t want to advertise the role to the wider market, as using a single agency helps keep things confidential and discreet.

How it works

Our process is designed to perfectly balance flexibility, efficiency, and tried and true methods.

Brief – we’ll take a thorough brief from you to understand the role and how it fits into your company, as well as the key elements of your brand so that we can better sell it to candidates

Proposal  after the brief we’ll write a proposal that details our strategy, the timelines, and costs of the project

Talent Map– our first step in executive search is to produce a thorough talent map that allows us to see all potential candidates and ensure that we have uncovered as much talent as possible.

Approach once we have a talent map, we will approach suitable candidates using various contact methods.

Interviews  we’ll put forward the best candidates for you to review and, if you like them, interview. If you need any assistance with the interview process we’ll be there to assist.

Offer & Hire after final interviews, when you’ve found the right candidate, we’ll help you to negotiate the offer.

Pricing

Unlike more traditional executive search and headhunting models, we don’t charge based on a percentage of salary. Instead, we’ll charge a day rate based on how long we estimate our consultants will spend working on the project.

In our proposal, we’ll break down how we intend to use the days allocated and our consultants day rates.

Why do we price this way?

  • It allows you to budget from the start as it’s a fixed fee
  • There is no pressure to hire or not hire a candidate based on salary as it does not affect the final fee
  • It often works out more cost-effective for the client

Benefits of our approach

Aside from our unique pricing model, our approach to executive search has a number of benefits:

Partnership - We work closely with you to understand your brand and craft an effective message to potential candidates.

Transparency - Throughout the process, we’ll communicate with you about our progress, whom we’re approaching and any candidates we speak to.

Support - We’ll guide you throughout the process, offering our advice and recommendations to get the maximum value out of the search.

Additional materials - We’ll conduct a multichannel marketing campaign, and if required provide access to various personality and aptitude tests.
